Celebrating the Fourth of July
The Fourth of July celebration barbecue at the Mullen Home was a delightful event. The party kicked off with a flag ceremony in the morning, with our veteran volunteers and Residents raising our brand new American flag for the first time. They sang patriotic songs and said the Pledge of Allegiance once the flag was at the top of the flag pole. Afterwards, Residents, staff, and volunteers enjoyed burgers and hot dogs from the grill, house made potato salad, and many other delicious munchies. It was a time to come together to honor our country and enjoy each other’s company.
We also had our annual Fourth of July raffle drawing during the barbecue, and three lucky winners were drawn from the hundreds of tickets that had been bought. Thank you to all of those who supported the Little Sisters through the purchase of raffle tickets, and congratulations to the winners!
