Our Baby, Rebekah Anastasia, was baptized at Mullen Home in Denver on Monday, November 26th following the 11 a.m. Mass. It was an incredibly beautiful baptism that was surrounded with my Family, the Little Sisters and the loving Residents of Mullen Home. I will be so forever grateful that Mother Cornelia and Sr. Mary Agnes allowed this very special day to happen in their house.
Fr. Tom Coyte from Holy Cross Catholic Church in Thornton performed the baptism with the assistance of Fr. Tim Kreman and Fr. Jan Mucha. My parents, who have gone to be with the Lord several years ago, would have been happy to know that it not only took 3 priests to marry my husband and I, it now takes 3 priests to baptize our child, 23 years later. It was a very special day as each resident and Sister was given the opportunity to privately make the Sign of the Cross on Rebekah’s forehead as a sign of their commitment to her Catholic faith. I thank you, Little Sisters, for being with this baby from Conception, her 32 week Gestation, Birth and one month at Rose Hospital through now at her Baptism, nearly a 50 week period of time. I am blessed and honored to be part of the Family at Mullen Home, and I thank you again for a beautiful baptism for our Baby, Rebekah Anastasia Horton.
