Corpus Christi Procession
June 14, 2020 brought a beautiful procession throughout our Home while respecting social distancing.
In preparation for the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Little Sisters arranged altars on the first and second floor to facilitate a place of honor for Our Lord. One of the Little Sisters, with a couple of the Residents, prepared the displays in front of each altar which consisted of flower petals in the form of a beautiful chalice.
Deacon Rob Rinne reverently carried the Monstrance from the chapel to the second-floor altar, where those in the procession stopped and adored Jesus with the second-floor Residents.
After spending time with Christ, the Monstrance was escorted to the first-floor Resident’s altar. This stop gave the Residents and staff time for adoration with our Lord during this pandemic. The procession concluded at the chapel, followed by Adoration and evening prayers which culminated the celebration of the Body and Blood of Jesus.
Even though we practiced safe distancing, we felt an intimate closeness with our Lord because of the procession and Adoration time.
Thank you, Blessed Trinity, for blessing our time with You and wanting to be with us.
