National Rehabilitation Awareness Week
Recently, Mullen Home Residents celebrated National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, September 16 – 22, by continuing their work in the Home’s Gardens. Residents resumed their quest to improve their health by means of a modified gardening therapy approach which provided welcome cognitive and physical challenges as well as social engagement opportunities.
For several weeks, during the summer and fall, Residents worked with seeds and the soil in efforts to once again enjoy one of their favorite pastimes. The effort and time put into our Tomato Garden were totally worth it and the results speak for themselves!
Happy Harvest from Mullen Home!
