5th Annual Hot Rods and Hot Dogs
On Saturday, June 15, the Mullen Home celebrated Father’s Day in the best way – the 5th Annual Hot Rods and Hot Dogs event! 20 historic vehicles, provided by our dedicated volunteer automotive enthusiasts, drove onto our manicured grounds and parked around the old building. Residents, family and friends gathered outside in the beautiful weather for a classic car show and to vote for a first, second, and third place winner. Our charitable car aficionados allowed the participants to get a full tour of their cars, and even gave a few Sisters a ride!
Residents enjoyed delicious burgers and hot dogs grilled by our generous volunteers, timeless music provided by our very own janitor, Teddy, and lots of fun!
The participants, friends, and Residents voted for a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 as the third place car, the second place went to a 1962 Corvette, and our first place winner was a beautiful 1929 Model A Ford.
Thank you to all of those who donated their time, energy, and vehicles to make this event memorable!
