Benjamin Elvis
An integral part of the mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor is respect and reverence for the sacredness of life and stewardship of the sick and dying elderly. We are so grateful to the folks at VitalPet Church Ranch Veterinary Center for showing that same level of care and commitment of service to our sweet bunny, Benjamin Elvis, as he was ill and dying.
VitalPet specializes in caring for all kinds of pets with veterinary services, grooming, and day care. The vets and staff work hard to give top notch care to all animals that come to them, and we were fortunate that many of their vets had extensive experience with rabbits.
Benjamin had been under the weather for weeks with no relief, and Dr. Erin Schreiber and the staff at VitalPet took him in and gave him what care they could to ease his suffering. They graciously answered all of our questions and were incredibly generous with their services for our little mascot.
Little Benjamin Elvis passed away on later that week, but we know that he was well taken care of until the very end due to the attentiveness of those at the VitalPet Veterinary Center.
Our Residents and staff alike enjoyed the company of this sweet bunny; he was a comfort to all and a delightful addition to our Home, and he will be sorely missed. St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
