You’re always “young enough” to enjoy going to the prom! Just ask our Residents. After a cordial invite from Mullen High School in Southwest Denver, several of the Residents dressed in their best and boarded the Mullen Home Bus for the Senior Citizens Prom.
The dinner and dance were held in the school gymnasium with music provided by a full band reminiscent of the “good old days.” Mullen High students were at the ready to be a dance partner when called upon – when they weren’t serving food. Tables were festooned with white ostrich plumes on a black table cloth … and a special guest at our table was Resident Isadora who had just celebrated her 100th birthday! Although she was not chosen as queen of the prom, she was indeed the belle of the ball in a crowd of 400 people! It was a wonderful night to remember and a special thanks to all who made the evening a great event.
