On Sunday afternoon, August 10th, about 40 “neighbors” of all ages came to our Home for a friendly visit and to serve ice cream cones to residents, staff and visitors. This visit was a part of “Denver Days” whose focal intent was to involve neighbors within the neighborhood throughout Denver. Splitting into three groups, equipped with a mini ice cream truck, and a few Little Sisters leading the way, they went door to door through the hallways, passing out ice cream cones to our Residents and all they met. This was the first time any of them visited Mullen Home! They enjoyed the opportunity to see beyond the doors, and to experience the love, joy, and the gift of our residents who call this Home. Hopefully this will be just the first of many joyful encounters with our neighbors. Thank you neighbors!
