A Beautiful Gesture from the Regis Jesuit High School Community
“Ask and it will be given to you.” – Mathew 7:7
On Monday, May 11, the Little Sisters of the Poor and the Residents of Mullen Home received a very big delivery of much-needed supplies generously provided by the Regis Jesuit High School community.
Armed with a wish list of donation requests, Boys Division Service Director Anthony Mattacchione and Girls Division Service Director Christina Ortiz sent an email blast to the students asking for help. The students were given the list just one day prior to coming to the school to pick up their belongings from their lockers.
What transpired next was truly amazing. In less than 24 hours, there were enough items dropped off to fill up an entire truck bed.
Remarkably, thus far there have been no cases of COVID-19 among the Residents, The Little Sisters and the Staff so the donation delivery was made a few days later with minimal contact.
Truly, God’s divine providence was at work through this beautiful gesture from the Regis Jesuit High School community and will help support The Little Sisters in their efforts to keep their facility COVID-free.
Regis Jesuit High School sophomore, Jacob Sykora, takes a moment to greet a few of The Little Sisters of the Poor while unloading donations.
