On Saturday, June 16, eighteen historic automobiles gathered for Mullen Home’s 4th Annual Father’s Day Celebration – Hot Dogs and Hot Rods! This year’s event featured delicious grilled food, a live DJ (thank you, Teddy!), and a sampling of some of Denver’s finest historic vehicles put on display by our dedicated volunteer automotive enthusiasts.
Residents browsed and viewed the cars, ranging in years from 1931 to 2016, while enjoying the beautiful weather and gathering of friends and family on Mullen Home’s ten-acre campus. The event, which lasted from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. was a lot of fun for everyone involved and produced three trophy winners for best vehicle including a 1956 Pontiac Star Chief in first place, a 1931 Model “A” in second place, and a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle in third. Residents, staff, and volunteers look forward to Mullen Home’s Father’s Day Celebration Event all year long as it boasts educational fun for the whole family!
