The Year of the Tiger

  • February 2, 2022
Chinese New Year 2022

“The Year of the Tiger invites us to trade timidity for courage.” Let’s roar Covid out of our lives!!

The Chinese New Year comes to Mullen Home in a flurry of red and gold. Decorations adorn the main dining room, and the smell of delicious Chinese food wafts from the dining room down the halls beckoning all to partake in the offering. Sister Christine wielded her mighty cutlery, and with the help of Chef Jose and the kitchen staff, a delectable Chinese food dinner was prepared and served to Residents, Little Sisters, and Staff. Mother Paul joined in the festivities by handing out beautiful red and gold Chinese inscribed envelopes (called “hong bao” which represents “good fortune”) containing a surprise within, to all the Staff and Residents. Fun and delicious! What a wonderful combination of joy.
