A weather perfect day with lots of sunshine greeted over 200 guests in September to our garden party fundraiser. Money from the event went toward the new front entrance to our home. Fifty volunteers, including students from Mullen High School and Christ in the City, worked tirelessly setting up tables, greeting guests, and watching over tables with arts and crafts for sale. Thanks to Kevin and Mary McNicholas of KM Concessions for supplying the wonderful barbecue lunch and cold drinks. Bob Haworth, a former Kingston Trio and Brothers Four member, entertained with songs and his skill on a variety of folk instruments. Later on, guests were entertained by Carlos Elvus Martinez who was a perfect impersonator of the late, great Elvis. Thank you to everyone for making it a wonderful day.
Garden Party a BIG success!
