Music Speaks to the Heart and the Hands

  • February 3, 2016

The very second Mullen Home’s player piano began to play “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”, Resident John Landrum decided to play his own “player table” version!

Recent news stories have indicated that music therapy creates positive changes in moods and emotional states with dementia patients. John is also receptive to a selection of songs he and his daughter chose, which are on an iPod shuffle that he listens to on a weekly basis.

Be prepared to smile as you watch the short video and see how music most certainly speaks to John’s heart and his hands in a truly heartwarming way!

IF WALLS COULD TALK!
“SAY A HAIL MARY FOR THE BRONCOS” … AND WE DID!!!
