Prom night at Mullen Home! Who could want anything more? Thanks to students from Pinnacle Charter School Honor Society, the Residents were kept on happy feet through the evening.
“It was such a great time,” says Tiffany Nguyen, vice president of the Honor society. “We worked long and hard trying to come up with an idea for our annual Service Project and what could be better than organizing a prom night for the Residents. We chose ‘Welcoming Spring’ as our theme. The tables with draped in gorgeous fabric and piled with food and drinks, and we pinned balloons and ribbons on every inch of the wall and the Residents were dressed in their finest complete with flower corsages.”
Everyone who attended got up and kicked up their heels. Great memories lingered in the days to come.
Said Josue Batalla, one of the juniors in the Honor Society, “It’s crazy to think how much fun you can actually have with a senior citizen. It was my first time working with the elderly and it couldn’t have been better.”
Thank you to all the students for bringing such delight to our Residents.
